Henry Hotel Dearborn Wedding

Connie and Grant’s wedding at the Henry Hotel Dearborn, Michigan, was magical from start to finish.

When Connie and Grant first hired Simply Brilliant Events as their full-service wedding planner, they had already booked their stunning wedding venue, Henry Hotel in Dearborn. If you have not been to the Henry Hotel in Dearborn, it is one of the most elegant hotels and wedding venues in the metro Detroit area. Throughout the Henry Hotel, there are pieces of art hanging on the walls that you can view and purchase to remind you of your stay at Henry Hotel, Dearborn.

The Presidential Ballroom, the leading wedding reception ballroom at the Henry, Dearborn, is vast, and can hold up to 1200 guests, not that Connie and Grant had that many guests! The Presidential Ballroom can be divided into smaller ballrooms, but it gave us room to create an elegant and timeless wedding.

From the very start of the wedding planning, Connie and Grant’s vision was for an elegant and timeless wedding and an exceptional experience for all of their guests, with many coming from as far as Greece.

Getting Ready

The day started with Connie and her bridesmaids at the family home. Breakfast first, and then hair and make-up from the talented artists from Beauty Gals. When the girls were almost ready, Jennifer from Jennifer Boris Photography arrived during the last moments of getting ready. We love working with Jen, just look at all the stunning images.

The Groom Getting Ready

Grant, the groom, and his groomsmen were getting ready at his parent’s house. Grant decided to have one of the groomsmen shave him. Shaving on your wedding day could have been a little risky, but I think they all had a lot of fun doing this—such a fun thing for them all to do as a group.

Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was at the beautiful St Nicholas Greek Orthodox in Ann Arbor. Absolutely beautiful; no words can describe its ornate design. Just love it when I have the opportunity to visit all of these beautiful churches in the Detroit and Ann Arbor area. Just stunning!

After the ceremony, Connie and Grant wanted an exit, I love it, and I think it is one of my favorite images from Jennifer Boris Photography. So much excitement and love from all the family and friends after they are officially married.

Elegant Reception at Henry Hotel, Dearborn

Guest started to arrive just as the team from Simply Brilliant Events put the finishing touches to the design of the Presidential Ballroom. Linens and rentals from Luxe Event Linen, draping, lighting, lounge furniture, white dance floor from Events & Beyond, and stunning florals from Vivianos. We added the finishing touches to the design with the day of stationery, to continue the cohesive look throughout with menu cards and place cards from Invitations by Caitlin.

Deserts and Wedding Cake

The team at Bella e Dolce designed the beautiful cake with a dessert extravaganza from the moms of Connie and Grant, as is the Greek tradition. Always a guest favorite.

First Dances with the Bride & Groom

The band continued the celebrations with first dances and, of course, traditional Greek dancing. Grant especially looks like he is having so much fun!!!
