What a fun group Leah and Kyle were for their Colony Club Wedding downtown Detroit, at The Colony Club. Leah hired Simply Brilliant Events for the Month of Event Management Service to take over all the details the month before her wedding, Both Leah and Kyle live in San Diego and they knew they would need help in the final weeks before the big day.
A little background into this stunning couple and beautiful luxury wedding at The Colony Club. Both Leah and Kyle are very busy professionals. Leah had grown up in the Detroit area and of course wanted to celebrate her love for Kyle in the cool city of Detroit. To do this when you live in another state, can prove to be a little tricky.
This is why the Month of Event Management Service that Simply Brilliant Events offers for couples was perfect. Often couples will book this service right after they have booked the venue. The next vendors to book are the photographer, videographer, band, and of course the wedding planner to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the wedding day. All of these vendors can only be at one wedding on your day. So, once our services are booked, we can no longer take on another wedding. Keep this in mind when deciding which vendors to book first.
Once a couple has booked Simply Brilliant Events for their wedding, we are available to answer any questions. However, we really start to work with you approximately 4-6 weeks before the big day. Working on the timeline and starting to pull all the details together, also confirming details with the vendors working with the venue ensuring that everything will run smoothly for your wedding day.
The wedding day arrived and Leah looked absolutely stunning and wore her gown so amazingly well. Her bridesmaids were adorable and I loved the color and the unique open sides of their dresses. Kyle looked great too, and I LOVE the smile on his face in anticipation of their first look moment.
The super talented Kristen Taylor first took photos at Westin Book Cadillac of Leah and Kyle and the bridal party. Afterwards they all went to the DIA where every couple must go on their wedding day for the classic Detroit images. Soon after they all headed over to the Colony Club to freshen up before the important moment of the day, the wedding ceremony.
The overall vision had been design by the Corrina from, Petit Fleur Events with subtle colors and pretty overlays on the guests tables and head table. Amazing work as always.
The first song was definitely one to remember, it was the same first song that both parents had danced too at their weddings. Amazing, that they had both danced to the same song at their respective weddings.
Everyone enjoyed the lovely cake from Sweet Heather Anne. A modern white cake adored with flowers.
Musical entertainment was provided by the great Dan Rafferty Band for an evening of dancing until the early hours!
What an amazing couple, great bridal party and a wonderful celebration of their love for each other.
